The “10 Years Till Iran Has Nukes” Cavalcade
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Blogging, Foreign Policy, The War On Terrorism, The WorldA recent story put out by the Washington Post suggests that Iran is 10 years away from being able to create the nuclear material it would need to make a bomb.
The story seems reasonable, but the blogosphere is on fire with this one. Here’s a taste.
Brad Plummer think this could strengthen the call for regime change, and also points to Arms Control Wonk who suggests that this no nukes is not “new” news.
Meanwhile, Gateway Pundit calls the report questionable and points to Roger L. Simon’s scathing, opinionated critique about WaPo’s use of a “U.S. source.”
From there we see that Nick Danger over at Red State decries the leaking of classified info, while Political Animal thinks the “mega-hawks” will be on a rampage over this news.
And last, but certainly not least, Daniel Drezner wonders if the Iranian mullahs are copying Saddam’s paper-tiger model and have been uncovered.
