Don’t mess with Dick Cheney…or he’ll shoot you in the FACE!
Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and wounded a companion during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, spraying the fellow hunter in the face and chest with shotgun pellets.Harry Whittington, a millionaire attorney from Austin, was “alert and doing fine” in a Corpus Christi hospital Sunday after he was shot by Cheney on a ranch in south Texas, said Katharine Armstrong, the property’s owner.
He was described as in stable condition by Yvonne Wheeler, spokeswoman for the Christus Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi.
Armstrong in an interview with The Associated Press said Whittington, 78, was mostly injured on his right side, with the pellets hitting his cheek, neck and chest during the incident which occurred late afternoon on Saturday
She said emergency personnel traveling with Cheney tended to Whittington until the ambulance arrived.
What this story doesn’t tell you is that Harry sassed Dick about Libby flapping his gums to Fitzgerald in the Plame leak case before he shot him in the FACE!
Moral to this story? Don’t mess with Dick Cheney or he will shoot you in the FACE!
(p.s. – in all seriousness, I hope this guy gets better. After all, it’s not everyday you get shot in the FACE!)

Michelle Malkin is actually using this opportunity to attack Democrats. Jeezus. The Dems will exploit this accident to smear Cheney as incapable of being trusted, weak of mind, etc
What? Cheney weak of mind? The Dems think Cheney is the puppet master Michelle, and you know that. Ridiculous.
Now, if Rumsfeld had done this…

In what way? The worst I’ve seen from bloggers are jokes and criticisms about how long it took for this info to get out, which are valid. The man one heartbeat away from being the most powerful man in the world shoots somebody in the face and we don’t hear about it for almost 24 hours? That’s a bit odd.
And frankly, when Michelle says “Dems” and cites a news article, it really seems like she’s talking about the MSM and politicians.
Also, a prediction can be an attack, so I’d like to see some examples about how she’s accurate that Dems are “smear”ing Cheney. In other words, are people really spreading false information about this incident?

“What kind of fool hunts lawyers with birdshot?” — that is by far the funniest thing I’ve read on this site for a while. Good one. I do think it makes Cheney look like a dumbass to a significant number of his base — hunters. Hunters on average are incredibly careful and that is reflected in the de minimus number of hunting accidents. This won’t have any effect in terms of his popularity with the Left or the mainstream media. The memes will frantically flutter in masturbatory zeal trying to find the smallest crease of relevance in a random act of carelessness. Just sit back, watch and try not to get any of the mess on you.

Hot Damn! That ranks as one of the funniest posts I have ever read.
As one small moreover, I have hunted for more than sixty years. In that time, I have seen one man, wounded with birdshot. The shooter was one dumnass who shot before he looked. I can also think of at least a dozen ocassions when I have not shot because I did not know where every hunter in my party was located.
Kinda makes you wonder whether the veep ever took a hunter’s saftey class….hmmm

Haha, well…no I didn’t. And hey, fair enough Cal…thanks for the links. And although I’ve never seen this sites, I trust there are more.
However, do I think these opinions are indicative of the left? No. All the mainstream blogs I read haven’t given these types of opinions. And even still, let’s see what the MSM will do with this. That’s more of an accurate judge of where this story will go.
