Abdul Rahman Goes Free
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Religion, The War On TerrorismAt first glance, this seems like fantastic news. After all, the guy is being let off.
But the opening on this story certainly gave me pause:
KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan court on Sunday dismissed a case against a man who converted from Islam to Christianity because of a lack of evidence and he will be released soon, officials said.
Well, what does that mean for the next convert to Christianity where the evidence is overwhelming? Will that person be put to death?
I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But for now, I am very thankful Mr. Rahman is free. Let’s hope he can practice his religious beliefs free from scrutiny.

Rudi, I believe they plan to exile him for his own safety, or at least, several articles that I’ve read have quoted officials suggested this will happen.
