US says Iranians witnessed N.Korea missile test

“(Reuters) - One or more Iranians witnessed North Korea’s recent missile tests, deepening U.S. concerns about growing ties between two countries with troubling nuclear capabilities, a top U.S. official said on Thursday.

Asked at a U.S. Senate hearing about reports that Iranians witnessed the July 4 tests, Assistant Secretary of State Chris Hill, the chief U.S. negotiator with Pyongyang, replied: “Yes, that is my understanding” and it is “absolutely correct” that the relationship is worrisome.” More

It would only be worrisome if you had forgotten this:

Iran Test-Fires Missile Able to Duck Radar

Iran Says It Has Successfully Test-Fired a Missile Able to Avoid Radar and Hit Several Targets

“TEHRAN, Iran Mar 31, 2006 (AP)â€â€?Iran’s military said Friday it successfully test-fired a missile not detectable by radar that can use multiple warheads to hit several targets simultaneously, a development that raised concerns in the United States and Israel.
The Fajr-3, which means “victory” in Farsi, can reach Israel and U.S. bases in the Middle East, Iranian state media indicated. The announcement of the test-firing is likely to stoke regional tensions and feed suspicion about Tehran’s military intentions and nuclear ambitions.” More

I have no doubt that North Korea would sell Taepodong 2 missiles or their designs to Iran. How long would it take Iran to apply existing technology to their new toy? Probably in less time than it will take for them to perfect a nuclear warhead.

Update:
At least three different sources suggest that Iran financed the Taepodong 2 missile.

When (not if) Iran arms Hezballah with stealth cruise missles armed with Nuclear warheads, will the UN question Israel’s decision to eliminate Hezballah’s presence across the border?

  2. Pete Says:

I would love to know what Russia and China REALLY think about Iran. Sure, they’re making dough selling them arms and cutting fuel deals with them but what can they be thinking about Iran as a possible future adversary. They are both using Iran as a pawn against the US but I wonder what they’re long term game plan is vis a vis they’re own security. Ditto North Korea but in this case mostly for China.

  3. Jimmy Joe Says:

iran is not crazy as israelies and westerners are trying to paint them. They know it would be stupid to start a war against US or israel who have the latest WMDs and nuclear arsenal which will end up on their heads. They look around them and see the entire neighborhood is destroyed by US and israel, therefore looking for deterrent. The US and israelies know that, and that is the problem. They want to invade and destroy any country at will if they choose to do so. Good for Iran! Their hands on nukes would only put us and israel in their place and a limit on their aggression..

I recommend watching this video online which explains (by the way, most interviewees are israeli or jewish) why American Media is as well an israeli occupied territory:

I’m not saying that Iran is crazy. They are trying to build themselves into being a major power in the middle east and show other countries how little the U.S. can do about it.

  5. John David Says:

North Korea, Pakistan and Iran have already ICBM pattern to Russian and Chinese ICBM.

North Korea have 200 nuke warhead and 100 ICBM.

Iran have 100 developed nuke warhead and buy 400 to former USSR.

    Iran have 100 ICBM.

Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Syria and Egypt developed hundreds nuke bombs.

US Intelligence are poor now cause their spy or agent trick already caught by Russia, China, Iran and etc.
