Nuclear war coming on Sept. 12

You know, it’s bad enough that my birthday falls the day after Sept. 11; talk about a buzzkiller.

Now there’s this:

Yisrayl Hawkins, well known Bible scholar and author, reports that the Bible predicts the exact date and the location that nuclear war will begin. Hawkins states that the current crisis in the Middle East will go nuclear on September 12, 2006 in the area around the Euphrates River. Calling upon his 50 years of biblical research, Hawkins correlates numerous Bible prophecies with world events to support his claim.

According to Yisrayl Hawkins, the countdown to nuclear war began with the signing of the Oslo accords on the White House lawn on September 13, 1993. He says that the book of Daniel shows that although this is a seven-year agreement, it would take fourteen years to be fully carried out, ending on October 13, 2007. He then cites prophecies in the book of Revelation showing that nuclear war would begin a year, a month and a day prior to the end of the Oslo agreement.

Maybe I’ll hold off on painting the house this year.

Keep us posted with any updates on this. If it’s all going to be blown to hell in a few weeks, I’d like to get some sort of “Final Things to Do’ list going. It will be my funnest “Things To Do” list EVER!

I’ll be sure to keep the lawn chair out on the 12th. Be nice to finally get a day off work.

  3. Walrus Says:

I have never seen any of these “Biblical predictions” citing specific dates come true. Ever. Responsible Christians blush in embarassment every time something like this comes up. *sigh*

  4. Sean Aqui Says:

Oh, agreed, Walrus. I’m never quite sure why folks like this want their 15 minutes of fame in the context of “check out this idiot!” But I’m happy to oblige. :)

  5. John David Says:

Maybe if al-queada conduct nuke terrorism in US major city.

Religious fanatic knows that cause they are the one who finance & support the terrorist.

Religion and satanism are the same.

Capitalism the satanic evil racist goverment copose of evi trinity religion, politics and business.

Capitalism the satanic evil racist goverment is the root of all evil, all terrorsim, all wars and all evil things in the whole earth.

Global Nuclear War will end capitalism the satanic evil racist government who created all kinds of gigantic monster dragon beast..

  6. BrianOfAtlanta Says:

You think he’d pick a date a little further out. A canny religious con-man would pick a date far enough away so that, when nothing happens, the prediction won’t be fresh in peoples’ minds.

  7. sleipner Says:

Huh…what’s John David smoking, and can I have some?

Granted capitalism, religion, and politics are behind most problems in the world, but that’s sort of like saying water is wet. All three have their good and bad aspects, unfortunately the recent trend has been to magnify the bad and minimize the good, and Bush has been the one leading (or at least figureheading) the world down the path to destruction.

I personally believe that either North Korea, Iran, or both will at least conduct nuclear tests within the next 5 years, and I would place even odds on at least one nuclear attack somewhere in the world within the next 10 years. The real question is whether it will be one of the “axis of evil” countries or Bush playing bully cowboy again.

This isn’t the same guy who said he and his brother were the two people prophecized to spread the word of teh second coming of some prophet? He isn’t that same cult leader is he???

I just found the answer to my question: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yisrayl_Hawkins

You know, the thing with predictions is that they can very well be predicting one thing while seeming to predict another. Take Nostradamus for example, his predictions are either of the end of the world, or about NFL football games. I think that this guy read too much into his, or maybe misinterpreted it. The word nuclear might indeed appear in it, but it likely refers to the nuclear family, in the area of the Euphrates, signifying not Armaggedon (or nuclear war) but rather a civil war, within the family unit known as the Iraqi state. Also, I think he’s off by about a year or two since that conflagration began a while back. Either that, or I’m really good at BS.. :)

  11. sleipner Says:

Come to think of it, Bush probably won’t set of the next bomb…they said “nuclear”, not “nukular”…

  16. Jeff Says:

So does this mean I get the day off? Or no? I hope the explosion isn’t too hot, i burn easily. I’ll take some koolaid please, hold the poison. I’m sure Yisrayl Hawkins is right about his prediction of the end of the world after all the other predictions never happened, but as they say, lucky number 1,266!

  17. Ricahard Says:

It is proposterous that people would even think such a thing any man would not be foolish to push that button.
I think the biggest type of evil is to scare the shit off people wich is exactly what some of these websites tend to do..
The Americans are trouble makers not pease keepers they went to was with irak for no reason whatsoever and dragged the uk in it with them…putting people in the uk at risk of terrorists threats just because the yanks got their asses whipped with the twin towers in 9 11 sorry that was not an attack on the uk the yanks brought that on
i have learned the yanks supplied these terrorists with weapons to start with and becuse of a despute to stop supporting bin laden knowing full well of the outcome..
Americans are bullies and the nation should be wiped off the face of the earth
and if that does happen i hope its mother nature that sees to it and not man

  18. Matthew Says:

maybe this wacked out guy is right and nuclear war will start tomorrow… and maybe monkeys will fly out of my butt and find a cure for cancer

  19. Matt Says:
