Some US Military Trying To Get Us Out Of Iraq

The press conference will be on Wednesday, but here’s the press release

For the first time since the U.S. invasion of Iraq, active- duty members of the military are asking Members of Congress to end the U.S. occupation of Iraq and bring American soldiers home.

Sixty-five active-duty members have sent Appeals for Redress to Members of Congress. Three of these people (including two who served in Iraq) and their attorney will speak about this on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. EDT.

Under the Military Whistle-Blower Protection Act (DOD directive 7050.6), active-duty military, National Guard and Reservists can file and send a protected communication to a Member of Congress regarding any subject without reprisal.

Now it’s time to hear from those who want to stay, or else this minority may speak for you.

hease soldiers are supported by Moveon.org. I want them out as well, but I would get a more credible name than that.

  2. Dorito Says:

Can’t wait to hear what these soldiers have to say on Wednesday. Hopefully, people will listen.

It seems sadistic and bizarre to make an argument for “staying the course” at this point. Some people can never admit a mistake and can never change course without feeling immasculated. Is this the same reason “real men” won’t stop to ask for directions?
