They had to get out of the fall guy mode. It says a lot that his jury convicted him in spite of sympathy for him. Obviously they did what they were supposed to do - judge the verdict on the facts. Now Fitz can go after bigger game. Or will he? Wanna bet his job will get the axe next? Which explains why it took them over 9 days to come up with a verdict.
