Huckabee On John McCain

Yes, Huckabee is running for VP, and it’s a good strategy for him. However, would McCain go from somebody like Huck, who has the potential to spout theocratic nonsense and scare the world?
In some other circles, people are talking about Fred Thompson, but really? I mean…really? The guy is not only a snoozer, but what would he gain McCain?
My gut tells me that John (if he gets the nomination) could tap somebody more independently minded. Lieberman is the first one who comes to mind, but he’s out given his previous VP run. Plus, as 2000 showed us, he’s just DOA as a national candidate.
No, McCain would need to pick somebody truly inspiring if he wants to pull independents away from the Dems. Any thoughts as to who that could be?

Huckabee and McCain are wolves in sheeps clothing and neither are fit for the office of local dog catcher. Ron Paul needs to Take Back-the-GOP from the warmongering, corporate owned jackals that have hijacked the party. The Republicans of today probably have Reagan spinning in his grave. The nation is on a dangerous path to financial destitution and loss of status around the globe. It simply boggles my mind mind when the caucus voters of South Carolina voted for McCain. McCain pushed for amnesty and wants to be in Iraq for 100 year. Huckabee wants to change the constitution to line-up with the Bible and Romney is simply another man trying to buy his way into office. I pray that none of these snakes manages to slither into the oval office. Ron Paul is a vote for integrity, decency and true fiscal conservatism.

I agree that Huckabee is running for VP. I also agree that our only chance is to vote for Ron Paul as he’s the only candidate that is honest.

A Ron Paul supporter spewing venom at other candidates, calling them wolves and jackals?
Say it ain’t so!
Ron Paul is not viable as President, VP, or much else in this country now that his credibility is thoroughly shot. Let it go.
Too bad Ahnold wasn’t born in the US - I’d support a McCain/Ahnold ticket. Someone call NY and convince Bloomie to “settle” for VP

realist, Ah-nuld is a great idea, but I don’t think it’s legal. A vice president has to meet all the qualifications of a president–and since he doesn’t meet the qualifications of a president…
I don’t know how well these two see each other, and I don’t know if this person would even want the VP job. But as someone who’s now been in the White House for 8 years… holding down two different jobs in that time… and with lots of foreign policy experience…
