The republicans will never attack Obama but list out the frailties of Hillary Clinton. You know why, they have to control the democratic agenda. They know Obama is no threat to one of them becoming president. Every republican you ask says race is no issue. If Obama is elected democratic candidate, I am sure race is come on the agenda.
It is a strategy that works, they controlled the Gore campaign, likewise the Kerry campaign.
If Obama takes the democratic primaries, there is no stopping a republican president come november and it will be a landslide. No doubt on my mind.
This is why Obama is untouchable right now in the republican circles. When they hear the name Clinton, they become paranoid because at this present time, they know Clintons are the only democrats that have the capability to dismantle their political strategy. In the words of Dick Cheney, Bill Clinton is one of the most savvy politician of our time. So democrats, think well before you make your choice because getting a democratic president in november is the main objective.

Romney won the debate and he will be the Republican nominee. He has a slick Clintonesque sincere-ish quality, even when explaining 180 degree flip-flops in core convictions and that will continue to serve him well in pursuit of the nomination. It is clear that he will, like the Clintons, govern based on the polls and continuous compromise. Not a bad thing, since there will still be a Democratic majority in Congress in 2009 and 70% of America wanting us out of Iraq. He can be trusted to blow with wind. That probably makes him the least bad Republican (Paul excepted - but he cannot win).

How is that for a stirring endorsement?

The GOP is doomed.
