The Washington Post reported when Maggie first joined after New Hampshire…
Maggie Williams, a longtime Hillary Clinton confidante, is reportedly being brought on to coordinate the campaign’s activities. Insiders have urged campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle to stay on, but no decision has been made, according to senior-level campaign operatives.
That was on January 8. It took more than a month for Hill to pull the trigger?
TPM just pointed it out too. I guess they got an internal memo…
Over a year ago Hillary launched her campaign for President.
Her announcement began a historic effort that has inspired millions and brought hundreds of thousands to their feet all across this nation.I have been proud to manage this campaign, and prouder still to call Hillary my friend for more than sixteen years. I know that she will make a great President.
This has already been the longest Presidential campaign in the history of our nation, and one that has required enormous sacrifices from all of us and our families.
During the last month I have been working closely with my longtime friend, Maggie Williams.
This week Maggie will begin to assume the duties of campaign manager. I will serve as a senior adviser to Hillary and the campaign and travel with Hillary from time to time on the road. Maggie is a remarkable person and I am confident that she will do a fabulous job.
Although I will continue to see you all at headquarters, I would be remiss if I didn’t thank each of you for your dedication, excellence, and passion over the last year.
You are the best campaign staff in the history of Presidential politics and I am grateful to each of you for your hard work and friendship.
I guess we’ll see…
UPDATE:
Here’s more about Maggie Williams…
The first Black woman to direct the operations of the first lady in the White House, Maggie Williams, was named president of Fenton Communications, one of the nation’s largest communications firms, based in the nation’s capital. She succeeds David Fenton, who founded the firm in 1982. At a reception to announce the replacement, he said that Williams, who earned a reputation as Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, will oversee all of the firm’s operations, staffing and client work.
“Maggie uniquely combines a passion for social justice with strategic depth, political skills and natural managerial ability,” Fenton said at a reception to announce her new post.
The former White House staffer becomes the highest-ranked Black woman in a top 50 PR agency. Her rise ends a two-year search to find a replacement for founder Fenton.

Now the fur starts to fly. Hillary isn’t a leader - she’s a follower and the campaign is starting to wake up to the fact that so many of us know that - and always have. The amazing thing, aside from the fact that so many people actually vote for Hillary - is that she can replace her campaign manager and blame others for her management issues…..but she won’t admit fault in herself - it’s her campaingn, no one elses. She won’t even admit her vote to give Chuckles the power to go to war was wrong. I feel like we’re in the Twilight Zone with so many of these Clown-politicians infecting our political landscape.
