Clinton Dismisses Weekend Losses

As with most things coming from the Clinton camp these days, the amount of intellectually dishonest spin present here really does get to me. Just because she says she’s going to lose does not mean it makes it less of a story.

Also, I wonder what the people of Maine, Washington, Nebraska and Virgin Islands think about how dismissive Clinton is being of their contests.

From CNN:

WHITE MARSH, Maryland (CNN) — Hillary Clinton on Monday explained away Barack Obama’s clean sweep of the weekend’s caucuses and primaries as a product of a caucus system that favors “activists” and, in the case of the Louisiana primary, an energized African-American community.

She told reporters who had gathered to watch her tour a General Motors plant here that “everybody knew, you all knew, what the likely outcome of these recent contests were.”

“These are caucus states by and large, or in the case of Louisiana, you know, a very strong and very proud African-American electorate, which I totally respect and understand.”

Clinton has publicly dismissed the caucus voting system since before Super Tuesday, seeking to lower expectations heading into a series of contests that played to Obama’s advantage. His campaign features what many consider to be a stronger and more dedicated grassroots organization than Clinton’s.

This tact of hers is so intellectually dishonest. “Everybody knew” doesn’t mean squat. This is about wins, it’s about delegates and it’s about running a good campaign, and hers is starting to split at the seams.

Also, she’s saying that just because it’s a caucus she can’t win it? Well, she certainly claimed a big win in Nevada. And doesn’t it speak to her credibility as an executive and manager that she concedes nearly all of these contests just because they’re caucuses?

I’ll be curious to see what happens if she loses badly tomorrow.

I was banned at the poligazette for saying one of the ops is a far lefty because she turned one of my posts into a 911 conspiracy theory.

While they claim the site is moderate all the ops spend all their time bashing Bush, railing against the war, Bashing Hillary Clinton and trying to get Barak Obama elected.

    Strange concept of Moderate.

And they call me dishonest. At least here I dont get the impression you are anything but honest about what your intentions are. For that I am appreciative of your postings. Might not agree with it but at least I appreciate some blogging integrity when I see it.
