Al-Sadr Calls For End to Violence

By Alan Stewart Carl | Related entries in Iraq

This is good news. Seems the combined Iraqi and US military action agaisnt the Mehdi Army in Basra has worked. At least for now.

Given that the Iraqis did most of the work with the U.S. only supplying air and tactical support, perhaps the Iraqi government is getting closer to being able to manage their own problems. That’s a big perhaps but it’s the best sign we’ve had in awhile.

Sure Al-Sadr, anything you want. Here go on. Then as he comes out
of Amedinejad’s butt hole, hit him with a 500 pound bomb on his turban.
