Hillary Talks Upset In North Carolina?

She is quoted as saying today…
“This primary election on Tuesday is a game changer. This is going to make a huge difference in what happens going forward. The entire country – probably even a lot of the world is looking to see what North Carolina decides.”
This is interesting. Maybe her internal polling is telling her something.
One thing’s for sure…she needs to win big in both Indiana and North Carolina, otherwise her chances to catch up to Obama gets worse. And we’re talking 75% of the remaining delegates type of worse.

Once again you are flogging the concept of “remaining delegates” as if it is an immutable number. It is not. There are no committed super delegates. Not one. There are only superdelegates who have expressed a mild preference. Counting them and removing them from the remaining delegates is a media construct.
If Clinton loses Indiana, it is over.
I don’t think she can do it, but if Clinton wins North Carolina, even if by one vote, it is also over. If Obama loses NC, he is absolutely finished. And you will learn very quickly just how uncommitted those Super delegates really are.

I want to know the will of the people - the voters. Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have so far;

Earned more votes than anyone ever has in a Presidential Primary
I have a strong preference for Hillary, but I cannot stomach calls for either of them to drop out before all states and territories have voted. This is still a Democratic Republic. Pundits and media do NOT determine our nominee. Voters do.
Let them vote!
At the end, we will know the will of the people. Then the superdelegates can butt in to have their say.

I basically agree with MW. If HC wins NC, that’s a game changer. It gives the SD license to swing as they wish, to the more “electable” candidate. But I don’t see it happening.
And if HC loses IN, she’s toast. I also don’t see that happening.
As I’ve been saying for 2+ months, the win patterns seem to be pretty durable. Polls suggest momentum against these patterns, but when the votes are counted, the mo never does more than slice the gap, not change the result.

Doesn’t the party apparatus have a responsibility to temper the mercurial mood-swings and easily manipulated preferences of the “people”? If it is even close, the party should step in to decide, unashamed, unafraid, and unapologically pick the superior candidate to run against John McCain. All this idiotic hand-wringing sissiness is quintessential Democrat - the superdelegates are fretting over having to put the worm on the hook. If I were a Dem super-delegate I’d be telling BHO to drop out now for the good of the party — despite his supporters intensity, he’s unelectable in the general. I’d tell Clinton that she should pick him as her VP.

I believe that Hillary is going to continue to surprise even the dye hard nay sayers! She is a tenacious fighter who just will not give up! I THINK
