Let me just say that I’ve seen this meme starting to pop up across the blogosphere in recent weeks and I think I can lay claim to having started it with this post on April 6th.

In fact, here’s a blog that completely ripped off my post from that day.

    I don’t know about that. I have a copy of the Economist lying around here somewhere that featured an editorial cartoon that made the comparison. It was quite some time ago. I’d have to locate it to check the exact date, but I think it was from before April 6th.
