Clinton to Concede (mostly) — UPDATED

By Alan Stewart Carl | Related entries in 2008 Election, Democrats, Hillary

AP is reporting that, this evening, Hillary Clinton will concede that Barack Obama has enough delegates to secure the Democratic nomination, effectively ending her campaign.

Reports are she will not formally suspend her camapign but this is clearly the first step to her bowing out as gracefully as is possible at this stage of the contest.

Now we see if the party can come together. I think it probably will.

UPDATE: The Clinton campaign is labeling the concession story false and is sticking by the “it’s not over until it’s over” mantra. Looks like the superdelegates are going to have to finally buck up and end this thing. Clinton won’t be going away on her own.
