Rasmussen: Obama Leads McCain By 6

Gallup and Rasmussen have exactly the same spreads today, although if you don’t include “leaners” in Rasmussen numbers, Obama is ahead by 8, 48% to 40%.

06/09/2008: McCain - 44%, Obama - 50%
06/08/2008: McCain - 43%, Obama - 50%
06/07/2008: McCain - 45%, Obama - 48%
06/06/2008: McCain - 43%, Obama - 48%
06/05/2008: McCain - 45%, Obama - 47%
Obama is supported by 81% of Democrats and now holds a very modest three-point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters. Both those figures reflect a significant improvement over the past week. McCain attracts 83% of Republicans Still, 30% of all voters either have no preference at this time or could change their vote before Election Day.
And here’s an interesting bit about the media…
Seventy-seven percent (77%) of voters like McCain’s proposal for a large number of town-hall debates. Voters are less enthusiastic about debates moderated by reporters. That may be due to the fact that voters do not see reporters as neutral observers and moderators. A recent survey found that 68% of voters believe most reporters try to help the candidate they want to win. Just 17% see most reporters as objective.
