The idea that dissent and respectfully disagreeing is patriotic is key to the health of our democracy. I am duly impressed and wish I heard more speeches like this one from other leaders. It's inspiring and sets the tone for political discourse. I love that he drew a line and said that we should all thank our troops. period. full stop. and even thanked McCain for his service.
