Clinton’s Name to be Placed in Nomination at Convention
By Alan Stewart Carl | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Democrats, HillaryBarack Obama and Hillary Clinton have come to an agreement that Clinton’s name will be placed in nomination at the Democratic National Convention.
The two senators released a joint statement saying the move is a symbolic recognition of Clinton’s historic campaign and is intended to unite the party.
Sounds like a vanity play on Clinton’s part, but it looks like Obama, by agreeing to the measure, is assuring the convention will be the usual scripted affair, albeit with more recognition of his vanquished rival than he’d probably like.
I wonder if this will actually mollify Clinton supporters?
