Contents Of Missing Palin/Couric Clip Revealed

Apparently it has to do with her knowledge of Supreme Court decisions…

Of concern to McCain’s campaign, however, is a remaining and still-undisclosed clip from Palin’s interview with Couric last week that has the political world buzzing.

The Palin aide, after first noting how “infuriating” it was for CBS to purportedly leak word about the gaffe, revealed that it came in response to a question about Supreme Court decisions.

After noting Roe vs. Wade, Palin was apparently unable to discuss any major court cases.

There was no verbal fumbling with this particular question as there was with some others, the aide said, but rather silence.

So she has only vague knowledge of foreign policy matters, vague knowledge of significant legislation and vague knowledge of judicial decisions.

As Fareed said, “Palin is ready? Please.”

It is kind of odd that an interviewer should ask a VP candidate about Supreme Court decisions. It just isn’t something you would think to prepare for. Not being a lawyer, if someone walked up on the street and asked me to discuss a Supreme Court decision, I would probably stare in silence as well.

I watched parts of this interview and the line of questioning from Couric seemed designed to find subjects that Palin could not adress in order to make her look bad.

This said, I think Palin’s inflamatory rhetoric insinuating that Obama associates with terrorists is reprehensible.
