“Voting is not an expression of the soul.”

That’s Leon Wieseltier at The New Republic in what is my favorite Barack Obama endorsement yet.

Why do I like it? Because Wieseltier sees Obama through unfiltered eyes. He understands the character flaws of Obama and knows the very real risks of an Obama presidency. He’s no hope-a-holic. But he knows that voting for president is always a matter of personal compromise and we never get anything near the perfect choice. Grudgingly, Wieseltier is compromising with Obama.

Give it a read.
