Christina Romer Talks Stimulus

The Chair-designate for the Council of Economic Advisers put the plan together so she’s the best person to explain it.



It’s refreshing to hear somebody argue that both government spending and tax cuts can create jobs. Because, first and foremost, Romer cares about the ideas that works and that’s what we need right now.

Also, maybe it’s just me, but Romer does an excellent job here explaining why these ideas are valid, what they’ll do and why. Being a former teacher certainly helps that and I think Obama knew that when he tapped her. Especially when you understand that he knew Romer would be showing up in online videos and explaining his policy proposals.
