I share the outrage over the lack of accountability for Wall Street, but as we’ve discussed many times, cnbc is not in business to hold up Wall Street to scrutiny. Now if you want to get on them for being dishonest in their corporate advertising, OK, but you cannot make the cable equivalent of PR Newswire a new organization if they don’t want to be.

If you want to get on someone’s case about scrutinizing Wall Street, you get the boards of directors for the pathetic job they do, and maybe we look at the laws governing corporations and accounting firms that review the books.

CNBC, though, is a joke to everyone but themselves and the morons who watch it.
