No Bush Nobel Peace Prize

This isn’t a pro or anti bush statement on my part, but simply a statement on the Nobel Peace Prize committee’s intention of awarding President Obama a medal because he is NOT Bush. The political category has always been a contested one and with this award, Obama has had to do a lot of side stepping.

The first step to dealing with trolls is learning how to recognize them. The following traits are clues:
* Does the person ask the same questions worded in different ways? Does the person ignore suggestions or responses from other members of the community? If the community has a frequently asked question (FAQ) section, does the person seemingly refuse to read it?
* Has the person posted inflammatory remarks that have no real substance to them?
* Does he or she make it a habit to post messages that include insults and vulgar language?
* Does he or she respond to other members in a purely negative, critical way?
* Does the person post messages that are generally off-topic? Does he or she seem to want only attention rather than discuss the topic at hand?
* Does the person resurrect old conversations or discussions that were once controversial within the community? Some trolls enjoy bringing back old arguments to encourage dissent within a group.
* When confronted with a counter argument, does the person in question change tactics rather than answer the points made by another member? Does the person employ logical fallacies within their posts?

I……Ignore……..they ignore facts. You point out to them that the bill says in black and white….WERE GOING TO RAISE TAXES and they ignore the facts and keep on calling you a troll.

Liberals commit sin everyday….sometimes its just more flagrant than others….Like Agnostics inability to discuss topics with someone who does not share his world view and hence such person is labelled a troll.
FYI…you dont get to label me Agnostic……I dont play the Alinsky game. I’ve read the book. I know the rules and you dont get to make them when it comes to me.

I’m assuming that BDS isn’t an STD, and is Bush Derangement Syndrome? If so… this author wasn’t blaming bush for anything. So I don’t get where you’re going with this.

What is an Alinsky thing is to polarize, Isolate and demonize your opponent.
Much like everyone is doing here to me.
No one is debating me here because in every debate…..EVER….the far left looses on substance…always has and always will…so the new debate tactic is to simply
Isolate, polarize and demonize anyone who dares stand up and say anything………and declare that a win.
Those tactics are on thin ice and they are growing thinner by the day.

Me…Obama is a nice guy. I wish him well. He doesnt make me angry. I dont like his politics. I am opposed to his policies and I think he lied to get elected…….what politican hasnt.
The difference with me and most every other name caller on this site is that I can keep my emotions in check and still debate policy.
Where you guys on the far left are only stuck with Alinsky style tactics of name calling, demonization because their is no substance to your positions.

Turd Blossom is an affectionate nickname given to Karl Rove by George W. Bush. No one is calling names.

Then debate it. Prove me wrong that Democrats do not have a plan and have had a plan for 60 years to keep the poor perpetually in poverty.

The fact is you can’t. The democrats have perpetually given the poor entitlement programs that are designed to do one thing. Keep them continually in the projects and keep them dependent upon them for their handouts.
What have they actually done to take the poor out of the poorhouse? I can’t think of one thing.

Doomed, in order for people to debate you about government and policy here at Donklephant you have to prove yourself capable of independent thought and dialogue.
Right now people are challenging you to be mindful of the community and respectful of the conversation. Mostly you should think about the ideas expressed by the person you’re speaking with before you hastily craft and post a reply.
The reason I like this this site so much is because the people participating are capable of listening to different opinions, using facts and logic as tools to craft a dialogue, and sometimes even changing their minds when confronted with thoughtful expressions and explorations of ideas.
In the first paragraph above you ask me three times to prove you wrong. Then you start the second paragraph with

You are demanding we prove a universal negative. It is impossible to do so logically.
Your demand also demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of courteous rational debate. Plans are not used in these debates for the simple reason that they cannot be empirically verified.
It is trivial to prove George W. Bush went to war in Iraq on flawed intelligence, that along the way his friends got rich, and that for several years his war plans were stupid. Figuring out why he did all these things, OTOH, is not trivial. Some folks say he just screwed up, others impart more sinister motives.
Any debate between the two sides will rapidly degenerate into a flame war simply because there is no way for either side to prove itself right. And this is not the place for flame wars.
