A new version of Google Earth is about to get released soon, as Google has already started sending invites to an event that will be held on April 18, 2017. During this event, the big search engine company is expected to release a revamped version of the Google Earth App.

We remind you that back in 2016, the company has released the virtual-reality version of Google Earth, which supported only the HTC Vive headset. Well, this year, the company might add Daydream VR headset to the supported list of devices for its Google Earth App.

According to Engadget, in the Google’s event invite there are not mentioned any details about this upcoming event or what the new version of the application will come with. In the invitation, the big search engine company is saying that a new version of Google Earth will come with a “brand new experience.”

The event will be held at New York’s Whitney Museum of Art, on April 18, 2017 at 8.30AM ET. We have to mention that this looks like a pre-Earth Day event, which will be celebrated on April 22, 2017.

When the VR version of Google Earth was released, the company has mentioned that the application will soon support more platforms. We have to mention that Google Earth App has been actually a great educational tool, which has helped teachers all over the world to show various geographies to the students.

We have to mention that Google’s Daydream VR headset is way more affordable than the HTC Vive and Google would make a great move by bringing support for its headset to the Google Earth App.

Hopefully, the big search engine company will bring us some good news next week. Unfortunately, until then, we are pretty sure that the company will not say a word about it and it will let users to become more excited as the event gets closer.
