Google Play Services with Instant Apps Feature Available Soon

Remember when Google first demoed Android 7.0 Nougat back in 2017 at the Google I/O? Well, if you’ve been keeping track of what they promised the new OS would do, then you know that they took out the Instant Apps function before officially launching it due to a few technical mishaps. However, things won’t stay like that for long if we’re to believe the most recent rumors.

Instant Apps is a very handy feature of Google Play Services that allows users to test out how an app works instantly, without having to install it on their phones. It’s sad that it didn’t make the initial Nougat final cut, because this feature can surely solve quite a few problems Android users might be facing right as we speak.

First of all, sometimes you just want to try out an app for a bit before installing it for good on your phone. Some apps look better than they are when you read their description and look at the presentation images. Who here hasn’t been tricked by an app’s flashy presentation, and then installed it only to discover that it’s utter trash? I know I’ve been tricked like this before, and boy did I hate it. Well, Instant Apps is a cool way to fix that.

On top of that, this can also solve some issues regarding storage that many mid-range smartphone users might be facing. If you’ve ever owned a mid-range Android device, then you know that its memory tends to become cluttered real fast sometimes. With Instant Apps, you can enjoy apps that you don’t plan on using that often without having to worry that they’ll eat up your internal memory or RAM by installing them.
