On the other hand, when you meet someone face-to-face, they’ll at least have to give you that initial interaction.

Speaking with people in person also gives you the opportunity to show that you are a real person. On the internet, anyone can pretend to be someone that they’re not. But at least when you meet someone, they can get a feel for you and you can get a feel for them. It’s really easy for people to hide their personalities and flaws online.

There are many benefits to LinkedIn networking as opposed to connecting in person. But even though making connections online is great, that doesn’t mean that you have to neglect face-to-face networking. Give them both a try!
