iPad Pro vs. Microsoft Surface Pro 4 – Best Features and Configurations

0

We all know that things move quite fast in the mobile and tech industry, but one element of consistency is represented by the rivalries between the companies. We do have sometimes new competitors occasionally, but two of the main enemies around are Apple and Microsoft. Two of their best devices are the iPad Pro and the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. But let’s see how they stack against each other.

Apple or Microsoft?

Truth be told, the iPhone and the Mac are some of the best products on the market. However, if you have a quick look at the specs, it seems that the Surface Pro 4 is by far better than the iPad Pro for whoever is searching for a hybrid device.

Various Configurations

One of the biggest differences is the fact that there are more options with Surface Pro 4 than with the iPad Pro. With the Apple product you have 3 options: a 32 GB model, a plain 128 GB one and another 128 GB one but with 4G. All three of them offer 4 GB RAM and run on the same chipset, the A9X. Meanwhile, the Microsoft device lets you choose between 128, 256 and 512 GB internal storage. Moreover, you can also choose if you want to have 4, 8 or 16 GB RAM.

Camera

When it comes to the camera, both iPad Pro 12.9 and the Surface Pro 4 enjoy 8 MP back cameras. However, the one made by Microsoft includes a 5 MP camera, while iPad Pro only offers an 1.2 MP front one. At the same time, the Surface Pro has a more sophisticated and professional look, while the iPad Pro has the looks of an oversized iPad.

OS

The Surface Pro feels more like a laptop, given the fact that it runs on the Windows 10 OS. Meanwhile, the iPad Pro runs on iOS 9, which is not a full desktop one like the OSX.
