OnePlus 5 to Include 5.5″ 2K Display and New Improvements
In 2016, OnePlus announced the OnePlus 3 device, followed shortly after by the OnePlus 3T. There’s not much left until summer, and we already have lots of rumors and reports about the OnePlus 5, the flagship the company will release for 2017. People found it quite odd that the developers chose to skip number 4, but it makes sense if you think about the fact that 4 is an unlucky number in China.
Features
PC Pop, a Chinese outlet, claims that the OnePlus 5 represents a revamp when it comes to design. The phone supposedly presents a 5.5 inches display with a 2K resolution, which is good. It should run on a Snapdragon 835 CPU, paired with a 3000 mAh battery. Regarding the camera, it has 23 MP on the back one.
About the design, it seems that the OnePlus 5 has cut down on the front bezel, which means the fingerprint reader had to be reassigned. All rumors and speculations hint to the fact that it is going to be relocated to the back of the device, just like it is placed on lots of Android smartphones. Even so, from what we see, OnePlus is still going to keep the capacitive buttons on the front, together with the option of turning on the on-screen buttons. In the end it only matters what you prefer.
Regarding the release date, we don’t have enough information at the moment, or how much it will cost, but there’s no need to worry, since OnePlus has always released teasers before the actual release of their products. As such, we should be waiting patiently for them to give us even a small teaser or a hint to the features and functionalities their next flagship will bring.
