Samsung Galaxy A3 Spotted On a Benchmarking Site with Android 7.0 Nougat Update

0

Samsung Galaxy A3 was released at the beginning of the year and it has yet to receive the Android Nougat update. The device came with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it is still running this version, but it seems that things are about to finally change.

Is Android 7.0 Nougat finally coming to the  Samsung Galaxy A3?

Samsung’s smartphone appeared on GFXBench, a benchmarking site. This might mean that Galaxy A3 users will finally get the Android 7.0 Nougat update, this news comes almost nine months after the device was launched.

However, we do not have a date for the upcoming upgrade, but since it recently appears on the benchmarking site, it is very likely that it will take some more time until the SM-A320x device will get the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade. There were no other details available, but we already know that there is a list of other Android devices that are expecting the Nougat upgrade as well.

Google recently released the Android 8.0 Oreo final version

We can say that things don’t look that great for Samsung Galaxy A3 or for other smartphones that are in the same situation. Google recently released the newest OS version, Android 8.0 Oreo that is only available for Google devices like Pixel and Nexus. Since there are many devices that haven’t received the Nougat update yet, it is hard to imagine that they will see the Oreo version anytime soon and it can be frustrating to own a device that is still running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware. That being said, we hope that things will look better in the future and more Android devices will be able to run the latest OS version available.
