Iran’s President Questions The Holocaust?

Not that I thought so before, but Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not dealing in reality at all…
“Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail,” IRNA quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.“Although we don’t accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?” he said.
This is nothing new when it comes to religious extremism. And unfortunately, that goes for many major world religions. Why can’t the accept reality?
But to have a leader of a rogue nation say something like this in the midst of such diplomatic turmoil is telling…and unfortunate.

“Telling and unfortunate?” How about “telling and scarier than hell?”

It’s really pretty standard for that part of the world, I’m afraid. The only thing remarkable is he says in public what the Saudi princes only mutter in private.
