I Want To See David Brooks’ Psychoanalytic Data
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in General Politics, ScienceHey, if he has the proof that liberal blogs are Stalinistic…let’s see the metrics:
DAVID BROOKS: Whoever the Democratic candidate, that is the weakness of the Democratic party, they’ve got the blogs and the netroots who are semi-nuts and they insist on a Stalinist line of discipline.CHRIS MATTHEWS: I love your objectivity.
DAVID BROOKS: It’s objectively true. I did a psychoanalytic test.
And no, I’m not being coy. I want to see it. When you make a statement as broad as that and call it objective, you better have some serious data to back it up.
So David, let’s see it.

What the–???
(Smelling own breath) Nope, haven’t started drinking yet; I must be reading right.
Gobsmacking. Communications from cloud-cuckoo land, or what? (Sorry, I just do not know what else to say. Maybe Brooks needs a break; I know he has a brain, but maybe it’s overworked just now.)

My recommendations to prove this theory are to go to the DailyKos, try posting pro-republican or pro-conservative in any way, and see what kind of “tolerant, progressive, open-minded” message you get.
You don’t need psychoanalytic data to determine some blogs out there are nutbars.

Hey, some Daily KOSers may indeed be lockstep, but that doesn’t mean all of them are.
Again, I want to see Brooks’ data.

In that case, you might as well say the same thing with only one or two words changed about the Republicans and their lock step blogs.
