This is a thought which (had I the time) would like to take up myself.

There is another side to the “obesity” of western civilisation. It has niggled at the conscience from time to time over the past year or so, and was expressed openly in a radio discussion just this last weekend. It came out in the form of the comment “That New Zealanders generally are becoming less acquisitive”.

So, there is a thought for you. Does “obesity” reflect in more than just waist-lines? Frankly I suspect that it does.
