Michelle Obama: “Why’d He” Or “Whitey”

Apparently there’s a video circulating of Michelle Obama asking questions about Bush’s actions over the years. Clinton die-hard Larry Johnson is suggesting that Michelle Obama is saying “whitey” on the tapes in reference to Bush.
Booman Tribune has apparently heard what’s on the tape and lays out why this is nonsense…

Whitie put us in Iraq for no reason?I’m going to be honest with you. Both SusanHu and Larry Johnson have been friends of mine. They have both done a lot for me and I am grateful and indebted to them. Any issues I’ve had with their activities in this election I have kept private. I haven’t visited their site in four months because I found it too personally painful to read what they were writing and I did not want to be tempted to respond. I thought I owed them that. But loyalty can only go so far. If they publish this allegation tomorrow, I will no longer speak with them. And I say that with great sorrow.
Personally, I have a very hard time believing Michelle Obama would say something so racially charged as “whitie” on the campaign trail. But Larry Johnson apparently wants us to think so, and he promises the video is coming out sometime this morning.

Well, looks like Larry Johnson hasn’t actually seen the tape. Instead, he has been talking to Republican operatives…
I learned over the weekend why the Republicans who have seen the tape of Michelle Obama ranting about “whitey†describe it as “STUNNING.†I have not seen it but I have heard from five separate sources who have spoken directly with people who have seen the tape. It features Michelle Obama and Louis Farrakhan. They are sitting on a panel at Jeremiah Wright’s Church when Michelle makes her intemperate remarks. Whoops!! When that image comes out it will enter the politcal ads hall of fame. It will be right up there with the little girl plucking daisy petals in the famous 1964 ad LBJ used against Barry Goldwater.
Ugh. This is the blogosphere at its very worse and Johnson should be absolutely, 100% ashamed of himself. You don’t report on something you haven’t seen. Whispers are not news, and Johnson should know better.

I’m sorry, but why do you believe anything he has to offer? He hasn’t talked to anyone and Johnson does not deserve to be believed about anything.

Beyond the fact the tape is completely bogus- I’ll bet my year’s salary that she’s saying “why’d he” This sentence here makes no sense. It’s laughable. If Hillary Clinton is waiting for something, she’ll be waiting for a while. Obama is half white for Pete’s sake!!

Clearly if it’s in context of talking about Bush, she could t get a pass.
She could be SIGNIFYIN’ — meaning Whitey, but saying Why’d he. That’s a real possibility.
The future First Lady cuddled up next to Farrakhan and criticizing the President?
Will be good enough by itself for most white people. And we’ve got the numbers, for now.

Why would Michelle Obama, a college graduate. A very smart and articulate woman be “signifyin’”… in front of a bunch of white people…not only ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, but ANYWHERE??
I heard the tape and I knew what she was saying.
Hmmmm…is that because I’m Black? Or is it because I’m NOT STUPID, nor do I have some sort of wack-o agenda like this Larry Johnson guy and the Republicans.
The closer and closer we get to this election, I’m afraid it’s going to get worse and worse.
The deeply held, and in some cases deeply hidden, thoughts and feelings harbored by most white people about black people are going to be coming out.
And the Republicans are starting to take advantage of it.
