Gallup: Obama Leads By 4
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Democrats, Independents, Polls, RepublicansMcCain had a net 2 point gain today as he added 1 and Obama lost 1.

However, as a commenter pointed out to me after my Rasmussen post today, these numbers may be more indicative of the perception earlier in the week that Obama was moving to the center, and not McCain’s “whiners” controversy at the end of it.
Still, Gallup suggests that the public’s attention span could be short right now…
While the candidates continue to campaign in earnest and attempt to draw distinctions between themselves and their opponent, the public may not be paying the same rapt attention it was during the primaries. Thus, voter preferences appear to be fairly well locked in for the moment, with Obama as the front-runner.
Just imagine how short the public’s attention span will be during the Olympics.
More tomorrow…

Justin, why no mention of Nader/Gonzalez as presidential/vice president candidates?
