Secret Service Are Now Protecting Biden

What must be running through his head right now? I mean, this is it. This is his shot. What does one think about at a time like this?
Of course, if Obama gets elected and reelected, Biden would be 73 at that point, so he’s probably not going to run for President. In other words, “VP” would probably be his job description until retirement. That’s the decision this guy is making right now. And being a VP is historically a very thankless task, although Cheney obviously changed all that. And Biden certainly seem to be more in the Cheney mold than say Gore or Bush Sr.
In any event, ABC has the details…
The United States Secret Service has dispatched a protective detail to assume the immediate protection of Sen. Joseph Biden, D-Del., a source tells ABC News, indicating in all likelihood that Biden has been officially notified that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, has selected him to be his running mate.
By the way, Hillary has been notified she’s not the gal.
This leaves almost nobody else except for Biden.
Here’s what our own Jennn Fusion said about an Obama/Biden ticket on May 20th…
An Obama-Biden “ticket brand” would exude: persuasive public speaking, daring but calculated in foreign policy, full of progressive solutions and aimed at changing all the “malarkey” in Washington.
Agreed.
More tomorrow…

Obama picks a fairly un-fresh VP, tells Hillary to keep the ‘change’…
Obama and his flock of acolytes have consistently portrayed him as the younger, hipper candidate. The candidate of change. The fresh wind in the sour air of politics, the new voice. Someone not a part of politics as usual.

[...] The Secret Service put Biden under their protection right before the news broke he was Obama’s veep, but this appears to be a different situation… If security sweeps are the giveaway, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney may be on the brink of being selected as Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) vice presidential running mate. [...]
