Dems Enjoy Massive Advantage In New Voter Registration

While it’s true that not everybody the Dems registered will vote, and while it’s true that not everybody they registered who will vote will vote for Obama, I can’t help but think that these numbers signal at least another 1 to 2 points added onto the popular vote for Obama.

Chris Matthews and Chuck Todd have more…

Democrats enjoy a 500,000+ voter registration advantage in Pennsylvania? Well, looks like McCain can forget about that one.

I just don’t see any way McCain can win at this point if this many more Dems come out than Repubs.

And this is a big question mark…can the polling places handle the increased traffic? Given the problems we had in the primaries, this could actually be a huge concern.

The Obama campaign needs to push people to vote early for just this reason. They’ve done an alright job so far, but I’d really like to see some television commercials from the Obama camp promote the idea and get people to realize that election day is merely the LAST day you can vote, not the only day.
