Below, you’ll find up-to-date results on all 35 races. As races are called, we will put the name of the projected victor in bold. If a seat changes party, we will note the pick-up next to the state’s name. The party currently in control of the contested seat is noted as a D or a R next to the state’s name.
We will update regularly throughout the night. Below the fold, we will post additional news items.

LIVEBLOG — all times Eastern
11:50: Udall takes Colorado to give the Democrats 5 new senators so far. But as soon as they call Georgia the door is shut on 60 votes. Meanwhile Franken is only a few thousand votes ahead of Coleman. This one may go on all night.
10:30: Some updates. Dems and Reps are holding serve where expected. There looks to be no clear way Dems will reach 60 seats … thank goodness. They could get as many as 4 more pick-ups in Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota and Oregon. But they may lose Louisiana as Landrieu is struggling.
9:15: Lots of pick ups for Democrats. Hagan, Shaheen and Udall take away Republican seats in North Carolina, New Hampshire and New Mexico. Republicans hold onto the reddest of red seats in Alabama and Oklahoma. Both Wyoming seats also remain in Republican hands.
8:25 Kerry, Durbin, Biden and Lautenberg all keep their seats for the Dems. Alexander and Collins keep their seats for the Reps. Collins ran a great campaign. You’d think this blue state senator would have struggled. But it looks like she waltz to victory today. Meanwhile, fellow female Republican senator Dole is not doing well.
8:00: Updates for all the senate races where polls are closed. Nothing major. Dole and Sununu are both trailing, but it’s REALLY early.
7:35: Graham wins SC and Rockefeller wins WV as expected. Both parties hold serve in those states.
7:00: McConnell’s lead has vanished. This could be as close as some people thought, even though McCain easily won the state. I still think McConnell will be fine. Meanwhile, VA has been called for Warner. Wow. That was easy. No call on Dole (NC) or Chambliss (GA).
6:30: Finally have our first numbers, with very few votes in, McConnell has a lead in KY

[...] That was easy. The networks have called the Virginia senate seat for Mark Warner. We knew he was ahead but he must have walked all over Gilmore for the call to come right as the polls closed. [...]
