Palin Spent More Than Previously Thought?

The war is beginning behinds the scenes between the Palin people and the McCain people, and it looks like they’re trying to hit the Alaskan Governor right where it hurts: her authenticity.
NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin’s shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain’s top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family—clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill.
Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent “tens of thousands” more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband.
Some articles of clothing have apparently been lost.
An angry aide characterized the shopping spree as “Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast,” and said the truth will eventually come out when the Republican Party audits its books.
The Palin camp fires back…
A Palin aide said: “Governor Palin was not directing staffers to put anything on their personal credit cards, and anything that staffers put on their credit cards has been reimbursed, like an expense. Nasty and false accusations following a defeat say more about the person who made them than they do about Governor Palin.”
I have the feeling that this will get even uglier.
But yes, she’s done.

Palin is the gift that keeps on giving. Some say they’re sick of her. I can’t get enough. Go Palin 2012, 16 and 20! Youbetcha!

To borrow a bit of language from my staunch Roman Catholic mother, I’ll probably burn in Hell for saying this… but…
How can she and her husband justify that kind of “fashion bulimia”… when they have an DS infant son that will no doubt require thousands of dollars worth of special treatments, therapy, classes etc.?
I’m not suggesting they throw on feed sacks and walk around barefoot, but please, some moderation?

Where did you read all this? Me? I don’t believe a word of this and now I’m gonna repeat what old men told me when I was a little boy. I liked those old men. They were “authentic,” as we call people nowadays whose intellects aren’t perverted. They used to say “only believe half of what you hear and none of what you read.” You who believe it want to believe it. My she looks good in blue. I’ll take an honest politician who knows the difference between right and wrong over one is too clever to think straight any day of the week. Wow she has good taste! Michelle Obama’s dress last night was ridiculous: the graphic overpowered the shape. Her little girls both have better taste. That’s all I have to say about the important things.

I don’t care how much of this is true and how much of it is false as long as it ensures she never tries running for President.

Oooooh! The Wasilla Hillbillies?
Down goes Palin,
Down goes Palin,
Down goes Palin,
Down goes Palin.
That’s as funny as it is nasty.
