Android 7.0 Nougat Rolling Out on Moto G4 Play Devices

0

After the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus have received the new Android 7.0 Nougat, now it’s time for Lenovo last devices in the G4 series, namely the Moto G4 Play, to receive it as well. The third device in the series was launched back in August of last year, and initially came with the Android 6.1 Marshmallow OS. And now, five months after the other two devices in the line have already received the new Android, Moto G4 Play will receive it as well.

The Moto G4 Play smartphone is a mid-range par excellence, with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset running on 2 GB of RAM. The phone has 16GB of internal storage which can be extended up to 128GB through SD-support. The Moto G4 Play has a decent 2800 mAh battery which can deliver up to 5 hours of run-time after a mere 15 minutes of charging.

What Will the Update Bring the Moto G4 Play?

The phone is not very impressive, but it’s functional and doesn’t cost a lot of money. This is why many users love it. The new OS update it’s bound to receive in June will allegedly boost its functionality even more. However, devices that have already received the Android 7.0 Nougat update have also struggled with various bugs and oddities. Will this happen with the Moto G4 Play?

The answer most likely in this case is ‘no’. Due to the fact that the update will reach Moto G4 Play devices so late in the year, this also means that Google will have all the necessary time to fix the reported issues and deliver a better and safer OS update to the rest of the devices that haven’t received yet. Therefore, if you own a Moto G4 Play, it’s time to get excited for the month of June.
