You already know that OnePlus 3T is a heck of a phone, but here comes Huawei announcing the P10 Plus. Now what? Could it be a better option? Let’s straight things out a little.
Handset design & display
The P10 plus is 153.5 x 74.2 x 6.98mm and it weighs 165 grams; the OnePlus 3T is 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.4mm, weighing 158 grams. Both phones are very stylish boasting the premium feel and look of a flagship, and they have USB charging ports on the bottom with 3.5mm headphone jacks, alongside a single speaker grille. They also have an oval fingerprint sensor – home key placed under the screen.
Regarding the display the P10 Plus features a 5.5-inch, quad HD (2560×1440 resolution) and 540ppi, and the OnePlus 3T has a 5.5-inch, full HD (1920×1080 resolution) and 401ppi. Both of their screens are beautiful and bright, but if you must really choose one, go with the P10 Plus.
The P10 Plus uses a Kirin 960 octa-core CPU (4×2.4 GHz, 2×1.8 GHz) and 6GB RAM and OnePlus 3T has the same amount of RAM and it uses Snapdragon 821 quad-core CPU (2×2.35 GHz, 2×1.6 GHz).
Both phones offer a customized Nougat, but with different approaches: P10 Plus has EMUI 5.1 which seems to wish it were iOS allowing you to switch back to the classic app menu, and OnePlus 3T has OxygenOs which lets you customize everything according to your taste.
OnePlus 3T wins this section with an upgraded stock-like UX.
P10 Plus has a Leica 20 MP + 12MP, an aperture of f/1.8, OIS, the main camera has a dual-LED flash, and the selfie camera is 8MP with an aperture of f/1.9.
OnePlus 3T’s both cameras are 16MP with apertures of f/2.0 and the main camera also has LED flash.
Even if it can’t beat the dual setup of P10 Plus, One Plus 3T’s camera is also a great option.
Huawei’s P10 Plus phone has a great battery of 3,750 mAh, while OnePlus 3T’s battery “only” has 3,400 mAh. Overall, the battery stamina is pretty much the same.
P10 Plus features internal storage of 128GB with a microSD up to 256GB, and OnePlus 3T comes in 2 variants of 64 GB and 128 GB, and unfortunately it lacks the microSD.
The OnePlus 3T wins the areas of design and software, while the Huawei P10 Plus is better at display, cameras, hardware, storage and battery.
