Ouch

Wow.

I saw this picture and it was so powerful I just had to post it. The very moment of impact. I really, really, really, really, really feel bad for this girl. Really. Still, that doesn’t stop me from sharing it because the photo captures such an amazing moment in time.

This blurb from the AP explains more.

USA’s Chelsea Davis hits her head on the board during a preliminary round in the women’s three-meter springboard diving competition at the World Aquatics Championships Friday, July 22, 2005 in Montreal. Davis required stitches after hitting her head.

Get better soon Chelsea. I really feel for you. Seriously.

    Reminds me of when Greg Louganis hit his head on the springboard during the ‘88 Olympics. In both cases, at least it was the springboard and not the platform…
