I don’t think we should let the death of a defendant be used as an excuse to stop further trials. If this was Texas they’d get him a practising drunk for a defense attorney and go right on with additional trials.

I think he should be sentenced to death, but defer carrying out the sentence until after all trials.
And there should urgently be a list of the crimes he is to be tried for.

Medical science has made a lot of progress over the years. Mightn’t he be killed separately for each charge? Sort of like in Flatliners…
