Don't we need someone on the ticket who knows something about economics? Who on the national scene besides Mitt has had some success proving he knows how the economy works? American are hurting in the pocketbook. For goodness sake, it is time to be practical and sensible!! Those who say he changes his position a great deal should look more closely at Obama!!! He changes every minute!!!

Won't they have to spend a lot of time and money letting us know what Romney stands for now? I am sure that all of his policy positions have surely changed since the beginning of the year when we saw him last.

Well, he DID get elected Governor of Massachusetts as Republican. So he MUST have had quite a bit of independent appeal at one point.

Now, does he have any left after pandering to socons for a year? Hmmm.... .

I think Romney does make strong sense from at least one PoV. If he can talk tacks about a sound national economic policy, that makes it harder for Obama's to keep his pie-in-the-sky stuff teflon. I think Romney can sell "Obama's an economic nightmare waiting to happen" much better than any of the other names I have heard floated. I also think Crist would be a good choice.
