Quinnipiac: Obama Up By Only 2 In Minnesota?
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Democrats, Independents, McCain, Minnesota, Polls, RepublicansObama – 46
McCain – 44
This is kind of weird, and should definitely be looked at as an outlier at this point. Because last month Quinnipiac had Obama up by 17 points.
- Obama tops McCain 51 – 38 percent with women.
- Men back McCain 49 – 42 percent.
- White voters split 45 – 45 percent.
- The Democrat leads 50 – 45 percent among voters 18 to 34 years old.
- Voters 35 to 54 split, with 45 for Obama and 44 for McCain
- Obama is up 46 – 42 percent among voters over 55.
So why do I think this is an outlier? Because Rasmussen had Obama leading by 12 in a poll out yesterday, and Pollster shows a similar trend…

To me, Minnesota is solidly blue this election cycle…unless maybe McCain picks a guy like Tim Pawlenty. And even then I think it’s going to be hard for him to turn it.
More next month…
