Gallup: Obama Leads By 4
By Justin Gardner | Related entries in 2008 Election, Barack, Democrats, Independents, McCain, Polls, RepublicansHe gained one since yesterday, but both Rasmussen and Zogby (not a daily) show McCain with a statistically insignificant lead.

Gallup shares what the road ahead may look like:
If indeed the race has settled back to “the norm” for the time being, it could represent the calm before the storm. With vice presidential running mate announcements and the party conventions forthcoming in the next several weeks, enough voter preferences could be changed by these events to cause renewed movement in the overall numbers.
Personally, I don’t think the VP announcements are really going to have that much effect unless McCain picks a woman. That would be big news, and he could potentially capture a lot of undecided women. Still, my guess is he won’t go that route.
More tomorrow…

I keep seeing this pattern of Obama pulling a little ahead, and then things drifting back to even, and then Obama pulling a little ahead again. I wonder if anyone has done a harmonic analysis, and can tell what point on the curve we will be at on election day.
