Obama gains one today, and this is the first time since Berlin that he has enjoyed a 3 point lead in the “with leaners” numbers.
Rasmussen talks about voters’ reaction to the Biden announcement…
Yesterday, Obama announced that Joe Biden will be his running mate and the initial reviews are mixed. Polling yesterday found that 39% believe Obama made the right choice while 25% disagreed.Women are less enthusiastic about the choice than men and the McCain campaign was ready with their first ad showing Biden in his own words.
And concerning that enthusiasm gap among women…
Women are notably less enthusiastic than men—33% of women say Biden was the right choice while 27% disagreed. Men, by a 46% to 24% margin, said that Obama made the right choice.
A 13% gap? That’s significant, and as I’ve mentioned previously today…McCain could capitalize if his campaign is gutsy enough to pick a female Veep.
