Americans Finally Think Country Is On The Right Track

By Justin Gardner | Related entries in Barack, Obama, Polls

It’s taken 5 years to get back to this point (pdf), and it took Obama less than 6 months to do it.

The exact numbers: 48% think we’re headed the right way, while 44% think the opposite.

Also, Obama’s approval is 64%. That number jives with a recent Pew poll and Gallup’s daily tracking.

So, again, note to Republicans…simply saying Obama is wrong will not work. Because Americans are apparently buying what he’s selling so you have to offer a more compelling vision in the marketplace of ideas. And holding a Tea Party rally won’t change that.

Moving on…

Actually, I think you mean jibe.

Since we are officially back on track now , does this mean you won’t be posting graphs on unemployment claim raw numbers anymore? ROTFLMAO.

  3. Mike Casey Says:

It would be easier to sell the right idea in the marketplace of ideas if the press was not up-in-arms over Obama every second of every day!

  4. J. Harden Says:

OMG! He is sooooo dreamy. And you’ll never believe what he did at band-camp….

  5. TerenceC Says:

I don’t hear any fat women singing….but the direction is certainly better thsn it has been in a long time. There is just so much baggage from the last 3 decades it may be too little too late. We’ll see……..

  6. ExiledIndependent Says:

and I’ll add, “Compared to where George W. Bush was taking us.” Because that’s the mindset of everyone in America right now. Said it before and will say again, Bush is a pretty low benchmark….

  7. Kevin Jackson Says:

While that is true that he had a low baseline Exiled, the other side of the coin is that he is saddled with all that came with the package. It’s also a bit unfair to say he should get no credit because he followed Bush. Having recently returned from Europe, I’ll say there is a huge difference in how we are perceived there now. He and we should be very proud of that.

So Jimmy and Harden offer up 3rd grade level sarcasm and Mike blames that mean old liberal media (you know, the one that gave Bush a free pass for 7 years) for not allowing the miriad of great ideas from the republicans to get out. Just what ideas Mike? Name a few. Let me guess, more tax cuts. Now, all you you can start howling “liberal, socialist, commie Obama lover in unison… 3, 2, 1.
