Who’s kidding who?

JinBmore tells me what I don’t want to hear:
I have two words for you: “President Bachmann”. They laughed about Reagan the same way they do about her.
My immediate feeling is that independents and centrists will never vote for her and they will decide the 2012 election.
After some consideration it seems that less-informed, conservative-leaning Independents might vote for her based on her Establishment creds (she’s been a Congresswoman since 2006), and well-informed, moderate Republicans might just ignore the Tea Party business, bite the bullet and vote for her.
She’s the only candidate thus far with a legitimate foot in each camp.
Great. Now I’m scared for America again.

Out of her league. Not up to the task. Bit of a lightweight.
Won’t win. Not even the GOP nom.
But inevitably, she’s ticketed to be overplumped simply on the basis of the celebrity of her interestingness as deemed by the internet. Anti-Backman LW hate will fuel a longer and higher rise than otherwise, and she’ll likely steal support from Ron Paul while becoming the favorite of the tea party and socon right.
Perry’s the one to watch.

Oh yeah, I can hardly wait to vote a man for president who only a year ago wanted to secede and then last month crept out of the state without telling anyone while his state was burning so he could meet with a cabal of billionaires to plan ways to destroy the middle class.
Perfect president.

I think she could get the Republican nomination. So could Perry. I don’t think either one would win the general election.

Gerry, it’s great to know that you’ve already got a nicely budding seedling of an anti-Perry rant. I’m sure you’ll have it embellished to 3 full grafs of bile by fall.
But my comment was not an endorsement, it’s merely an observation. I don’t support Perry, I expect to vote for Obama again.
This stuff about how Perry “wanted to secede” is pure idiocy by the way. No surprise you’re sporting i of course, but I saw the clip on which it was based. There’s nothing to it beyond a touch of light, clever pandering.

Gerry, I have to agree that Kranky wasn’t endorsing Perry – he was merely saying that he’s the one to watch.
Kranky and Gerry – you’re feud is silly and it’s been pretty amped up as of late. Should we schedule a death match to settle things permanently?
