According to some other news released about the Pokemon GO, Niantic has sealed a new partnership with the Knight Foundation. Their goal is to increase the engagement with the community events throughout the United States with the help of augmented reality.

The Pokemon Go team explained that the partnership would stimulate discovery, thus bringing various communities together. Moreover, they aim to support engagement in the public spaces through promoting Niantic experiences and new technologies. This also includes Ingress and Pokemon Go for various community events. This collaboration will be seen at the community events taking place in various cities, such as the Open Streets events sponsored by Knight.

Interesting Events

The events are quite interesting, in the sense that they close off the car traffic and open up the streets for people. This initiative brings up people closer, plus it opens up the public spaces (parks, libraries). But the best part about it is that Niantic is starting to form useful relationships in the UK. Moreover, they will also take advantage of new locations, in the sense that they will be able to create more mini Pokemon Go events.

The first event that belongs to this collaboration will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 7.
