Clash of Clans vs. Clash Royale – What Game Should You Play?

The Supercellcompany has really hit success with its two popular games, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale. They both represent 2 excellent mobile games that have millions of fans all over the world. However, having the same developer, the games are quite similar. Most people usually play both of them simultaneously, or just choose one. But what makes them choose one or the other?

Progression in the Game

With Clash of Clans, you can always evolve your base if you upgrade the defenses of the walls or the walls themselves. However, Clash Royale does not offer this element of advancement, which is a huge minus.

Skills & Gameplay

While Clash of Clans does not allow you to showcase your playing skills, Clash Royale does indeed so. In order for you to win a fight, you have to have some serious skills.

Monetization

In Clash of Clans, you can choose if you want to spend money or not on it, and thus we have some reasonable monetization. Meanwhile, many people believe that Clash Royale has quite come harsh monetization. For example, you have to spend more than $14,000 if you want to max out every option you have in the game. The last update for Clash of Clans was released in October 2016, bringing lots of new tweaks and features. Supercell also releases updates for Clash Royale regularly. They usually bring more cards and adjustments that balance the game.

All in all, they are both excellent games, but for many people what does matter is the fact that they don’t have to wait a lot for some advantages.
